Paweł Dróżdż, MSc

Doctoral studies

I started studies on october 1'st 2016 at Cathedral of Machines, Drives and Electrical Measurements at Electrical Department in a team of Electrical Drives, Mechatronics and Industrial Automation.

Because of my interests in microprocessors technology I run laboratories for students - Basics of microprocessor technique I and II. The classes based on C-language programming.

I graduated the academic education course and I conducted researches of sliding mode control algorithms in applications to electrical drive systems with elastic joint. The results were publicated so far in the following journals:

[1] Dróżdż P., Szabat K., Speed Control of two-mass System with Adaptive Output Filter, Przegląd Elektrotechniczny, R.93, nr 9, 2017.

[2] Dróżdż P., Szabat K., Filtered Integral Sliding Mode Control in a Two-Mass Drive System, Power Electronics And Drives, 2 (37), n.1, 2017.

Furthermore, there is a conference article already sent to the organizers of SENE:

[3] Dróżdż P., Szabat K., Speed sliding mode control of a drive with an elastic joint – the influence of a low pass filter on the quality of a control structure.

To the rest achievements can be taken official cathedral seminar talk in front of prof. Sergey Ryvkin from Moscow University (performance in english).

What have I been doing except of PhD?

I do not conceal that it was my dream to get PhD degree. In the course of studies I came to the realization that a practical job as a engineer-programmer can bring me much more life satisfaction. I decided then to come back to the intensive studies of C++ but this time more professionally. I want to develop my theoretical knowledge as well as polish it in practice in order to become a specialist who can attend in serious engineering-programmistic projects. In particular, I would like to develop myself in embedded system (like Linux Embedded) and to realise projects based on big microprocessor systems.
